Never Give Up
Never Give Up, Never Forget: Lessons from Winston Churchill's Speech at Harrow School
Nelson Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and
political leader. In 1964, he was sentenced to life in prison for his activism
and spent 27 years in jail.
During his time in prison, Mandela continued to fight for justice and
equality. He secretly wrote letters to his supporters and smuggled them out of
the prison.
One day, a young girl came to visit Mandela in prison. She gave him a
piece of paper and asked him to write something for her. Mandela wrote "A
Winner is a Dreamer Who Never Gives Up" and gave it back to her.
Years later, that young girl grew up to be a successful businesswoman.
She hung the piece of paper with Mandela's words on her office wall, and it
became a source of inspiration for her and her team.
The story illustrates Mandela's resilience and determination to never
give up, even in the face of great adversity. His words inspired a young girl,
who went on to achieve her dreams and inspire others.
