The Hidden Diamond: A Story of Wealth and Value

 


Once upon a time, there was a king who wanted to find the most beautiful and valuable diamond in the world. He sent his most trusted advisor on a mission to find it.

The advisor traveled to distant lands and met with many diamond merchants. One day, he came across a poor farmer who had a diamond the size of an egg.

The advisor was amazed by the diamond's beauty and asked the farmer where he had found it. The farmer replied that it was just a rock in his backyard, and he didn't know it was a diamond until the advisor had pointed it out.

The advisor offered to buy the diamond for the king and promised to make the farmer very rich. The farmer agreed and sold the diamond.

The advisor returned to the king and presented him with the diamond. The king was delighted and rewarded the advisor with a large sum of money.

Years passed, and the king passed away. His kingdom fell into chaos, and the advisor was left penniless.

He remembered the poor farmer and decided to seek him out. He found the farmer still living in his small house, but now he was living a comfortable life with his family. The advisor asked the farmer how he had managed to live so well.

The farmer replied, "After you took the diamond, I realized that the rock in my backyard was worth a fortune. I sold it and used the money to buy this house and start a business. I invested in my family and community, and we prospered."

The advisor realized that true wealth and value come from hard work, dedication, and investing in oneself and one's community. He learned a valuable lesson and went on to live a fulfilling life helping others and contributing to society.

Ekalavya was a young prince born to a tribal chief in the forest. Although he was not of royal birth, he had a deep desire to learn the art of archery from the great guru, Dronacharya, who taught the royal princes of Hastinapura.
