After the merchant left the temple, he continued on his journey but found that the diamond was missing from his bag. He retraced his steps back to the temple and found the poor man he had denied food to holding the diamond. The poor man explained that he had found the diamond on the floor of the temple and was waiting for someone to claim it. The merchant was amazed and grateful, and he gave the poor man a share of the diamond's profits.   The Mustard Seed- a short story One day, a woman came to Buddha and asked him to bring her son back to life.  The woman's son had died, and she was filled with grief.   Buddha told the woman that he would bring her son back to life if she could bring him a  mustard seed from a household where no  one had ever died.  The woman went from house to house, but she could not find a household where no one had ever died. She realized that death was a natural part of life, and she came to accept her son's death. This story teaches us about the impermanence of life and the importance of accepting death as a natural part of life.
